Teachers should have a whole month for teacher appreciation. Really, our jobs are challenging and just a simple thanks can go a long way. Teacher Appreciation Week is the first week in May, which is perfect timing because we’re running on fumes by this point… (I’m talking head deep in end of year testing). So to show the teachers a little love, these free teacher appreciation chip bag printables are a great DIY surprise!

HOW TO ASSEMBLE CUSTOM CHIP BAGS.

1. PRINT

• Fit to page and print on glossy brochure paper like this.

2. TRIM

• Trim the white margins from the top and bottom. This is the paper cutter I use, but I also use this, sometimes because it is less bulky.

3. APPLY ADHESIVE

Turn face down and apply double sided adhesive across the top, bottom and down the right side.

4. FOLD & SEAL

Make a gate fold (without a hard crease), adhering the right side to the left, overlapping the white. Next, seal the bottom. Start in the middle and work your way out, making sure the edges are aligned.

5. FILL & SEAL

Now fill the bag with trinkets, sweets or even a snack size bag of chips. Mini hand sanitizer, gum, peppermints, gift cards, be as creative as you want with what you put inside. Once filled, seal the top. Start in the middle and work your way out.

To add the finishing touches (which is completely optional), squeeze the sides and crimp the top and bottom to give it a more finished chip bag look. I have two crimpers this one that creates wavy lines, but I prefer to use this one that creates straight crimps.
